What is Think Depth?

How Do We Approach the concept of Bible Study

“Look up at the sky…”

There were a million ways God could have conveyed His promise to Abraham. But we’re told God got him out of his tent and used the night sky as the canvas to paint the picture of His intentions. The tapestry of light would be the metaphor to give Abraham the picture of the countless descendants God would bring out of a covenant relationship with him.

This happens all throughout the scriptures. Oceans symbolize chaos. Wind conveys God’s Spirit. Lamps illustrate the witness of the church. Simply put, when God created the world we live in, he intentionally crafted the material realm to hold the metaphors of the spiritual. (Rom. 1:20)

Think Depth is built on the premise that finding these narratives and telling these stories aids in bible study. By combining stories with study, we seek to engage as well as educate. Our video courses can hold the attention of a believer at any level of maturity while our study guides seeks to teach the participant how to arrive at the conclusions in the videos for themselves.

How We Structure The Studies

OUR STUDY METHOD

WEEK

Watch The Videos

Whether as an individual or as a group, watch the video before attempting the Study Guide. The guides are not meant to be filled in while watching the video but rather are supplemental studies for after the viewing is completed. You can go through the Group Study segment of the Study Guide immediately after watching the video.

WEEK

Bold hand-drawn number two

We call this the Interim Week. Use this personal time to work on the Personal Study section. It is intentionally structured to be completed in its own setting. Find a spot to sit. Make some coffee. Grab your bible and and any notes you took from the video and dig in. Forget something from the video? No problem, we provide access to individual group members to go back and watch it on their own.

Discuss your findings

Use this week for discussion. Rather than jumping into the next video… we highly encourage you to get together and talk through your findings. Group leaders are granted access to training sessions that follow the answer keys and offer deeper discussion topics. They will come ready to guide you through the answers to the study.*

*Answer Keys are provided for Individual Subscribers
