About the Study
The mark of the believer under the New Covenant is clearly to be the empowerment of the Spirit in their life. But what does that look like? The evidence, according to the Scriptures, is identical to knowing if it’s windy… you see the effects. And knowing what these effects are tells us whether we, and others, are truly living the Spirit-filled life. This study explores that metaphor and what the effects of the Spirit-empowered life are.

THE EVIDENCE
Wind is a frequently used metaphor for the Spirit in the scriptures. Like wind, we don’t see the Spirit so much as we see His effects. Episode 01 lays the groundwork for how to approach a deeper study in the Spirit of God.
THE PERSON
When wind is strong enough in the world of meteorology… we personify it. Likewise, a life in the Spirit needs to recognize that the wind of God also has a name and is defined for us as the 3rd person of the Godhead. HE is more than a force or an entity. Taught from the Mid-Atlantic shorelines affected by Hurricane Gloria in 1985.
THE FRUITS
Detouring slightly from the metaphor of wind… we explore Paul’s use of the imagery of fruit to explain how the Spirit literally changes hearts, behaviors and appetites in the lives of those connected to Him. Join us in an idyllic apple-orchard at harvest time to see and hear this lesson.
THE GIFTS
Jesus declares that signs, wonders and gifts of the Spirit will quite literally follow or accompany those surrendered to Him. We go on a quest to photograph a comet to showcase a God-given illustration of this truth. We take the advice of the Psalmist (19) and listen to the speech of the night sky.
THE POWER
One of the core evidences of the wind of God is the promised power for life and service to God. A life of sanctification and purity is LITERALLY possible once a person recognizes the need for the wind of God in their life on a daily basis.

EPISODE 01 TEASER
God is not nearly as "unseen" as we might think. When Jesus teaches Nicodemus about people of the Spirit, he uses the metaphor of the wind. You don't see wind... but you know it's there by virtue of it's effects on other objects. The same is true of the Spirit. He moves on God's followers and evidences God's presence through His effects... the signs, gifts and fruits in the lives of the believers.
EPISODE 04 PROMO
What does a comet have to do with the wind of the Spirit? Episode 04 takes you on the quest to photograph a comet as a means of illustrating Jesus' words in Mark 16. Mark records Jesus as saying that signs and wonders are supposed to follow His disciples. The lesson uses the comet as the evidence that Psalm 19 guides us in hearing the "speech" of the heavens.
