A STUDY IN JONAH
This four-part series unpacks a single truth… grace experienced should be grace extended. Jonah’s unwillingness to give the proper MAYDAY frequency to people in need of it reveals something of his own (and our) fallen humanity.
About the Study
We often forget that God’s forgiveness is conditional upon us forgiving others. Jesus stated plainly that if we can’t extend grace towards others then God will refuse grace to us. This study explores that truth in detail through the Old Testament narrative of Jonah. As a trained prophet Jonah’s choice to refuse the call to Assyria is, at first, alarming. His willingness to lose his own life is set against the compassion and patience of an all-loving God in rescuing Him and creates an in-depth study of both our own depravity as well as God’s sovereignty. Using modern-day locations and parallels to the story, you’ll go chapter-by-chapter in this study exploring both the poetical Hebrew language as well as easy-to-grasp applications.
What’s Included In This Study
Engaging 4K Video Lessons
We strive to teach the scriptures in a way that will engage every audience. Locations that offer modern-day parallels to the ancient narrative make the backdrop for this series.
Chapter-by-Chapter Exposition
At the core of the story is an in-depth explanation of the text. This is a summarized or surface-level class. We go into historical context, Hebrew grammar and scholarly discussion to ensure you’re getting a proper biblical analysis.
In-Depth Study Guides To Go Deeper
The videos only make up half of the course. Our study guides are not the usual fill-in-the-blank format. Instead, you’re encouraged to dig into the text further using digital resources and websites to build your own biblical competency.
Leadership Training For Small Groups
If you’re going through the course as a group, we’re here to help. Our leadership training videos will help leaders both facilitate the discussion as well as lead the group through the study guide.
Sample the Content
View these segments to sample both the quality of our content as well our instruction. We strive to provide an equally enjoyable and educational experience.
In many cases, people assume that bible study means you have to endure some measure of boredom. Monotone instructors, polished set designs and other common factors have come to be synonymous with video-based instruction. We try and change that.

TEACHING SAMPLE
More than providing the application of the text, we want people to learn the proper study of it. Throughout all of our studies we offer insights on interpretation techniques when reading the Bible. In this sample from our study on Jonah, we teach on a common writing method in the Old Testament that should always catch the attention of the reader.

CHAPTER 03
Who Knows?
It’s not just the Assyrians in our text. This question is asked by individuals all throughout the Bible. And yet, Jonah’s experience (as well as our own) means we have more confidence than curiosity when it comes to asking God for help. The question is whether we will help others know that they can have the same confidence in their approach to the Divine.

CHAPTER 04
Who Cares?
If humanity’s question is “Who knows?” then God’s question in Chapter 04 is “Who cares?” Only it is asked in serious concern and not in the sarcastic manner with which we often hear it. Shouldn’t God care for the lost in the same way He did for us? Only God will look for us to answer that question through action and not simply sentiment.
